Now in its 16th year
We would like to welcome you to the 2012 Bures Music Festival and to six events in this very beautiful village on the Essex/Suffolk border, lying between the towns of Sudbury and Colchester. We have a full programme of music running from Wednesday evening through to Sunday and we hope you can come along and join us for some or all of the concerts.

The Bures Music Festival has a long established record of benefiting charities and organisations in the village and nearby, which would not be possible without the volunteers who give their time so generously in running bars, taking photographs, stewarding, catering, tidying up, distributing programmes, selling tickets and spreading the word…there are a myriad of activities (and I’ve touched on just a few!) that contribute to the success of the festival.
Our main Beneficiaries are St Helena Hospice & Ferriers Barn Handicapped Centre, but we welcome requests from other local charities in need of support.

Where are we? If you’re coming by road we’re on the B1508 between Colchester and Sudbury; by rail, on the Sudbury to Marks Tey branch line, by river, you can canoe along the Stour to Bures; or by air, the Essex & Suffolk Gliding Club is just up the road at Wormingford Airfield.

However you get here we hope you enjoy the music and have fun!
